The Long Island Convention & Visitors Bureau and Sports Commision
The Long Island Convention & Visitors Bureau and Sports Commission was formed in 1978 as a non-profit membership corporation under the laws of New York State.  Its purpose includes the promotion of the Nassau-Suffolk region as a destination for visitors, meetings, conventions, trade expositions and sporting events.
 
 
The new 2010 Long Island Travel Guide is full of valuable information on what to see and do on Long Island. Hamptons Visitors Council
The Hamptons Visitors Council (HVC) is an alliance established in 1990 of Chambers of Commerce in The Hamptons, Long Island, New York, whose purpose is to promote tourism, especially in the spring and fall, to The Hamptons. Today, it is comprised of six chambers in the Town of Southampton: Eastport, Greater Westhampton, East Quogue, Hampton Bays, Southampton and Sag Harbor.

Long Island Wine Council
Dedicated to achieving recognition for Long Island as a premium wine producing region. Its role is to provide a coordinated effort for the promotion and development of the region's wine industry. The Council was founded in 1989 and currently has 34 full members. 
 
Long Island, New York's "Bordeaux", is the State's newest and fastest growing wine region. About 100 miles (160 kilometres) east of New York City, the island separates into the North Fork and a South Fork known as The Hamptons, with the Atlantic Ocean on the south, Great Peconic Bay separating the two forks, and Long Island Sound to the north. These massive bodies of water moderate the temperature, creating a long growing season and ideal conditions for wine production.
